We are organising a special two-for-one maintenance day for volunteers:
- Working with Lend-A-Hand volunteers doing a range of work.
- Working as an Historic Hero helping to maintain the Caretakers Cottage.
Date: Sunday 18 October and Monday 19 October (you can sign up for both days!)
Ferry:
- Arrive: 10.00am ferry from Queens Wharf or 10.30am from Days Bay
- Depart:
- Sunday: 3.55pm to Days Bay or 4.25pm to Queens Wharf on Sunday
- Monday: 2.35pm to Days Bay and 3.25pm to Queens wharf on Monday
- Ferry Cost: $23 per adult paid by the volunteer
Bring a friend, or a group of friends who would also like to help us maintain this 'Jewel in the Harbour'.
We can provide FREE overnight accommodation for up to 10 people (bring food, torch, pillow case and sleeping bag) - available on the basis of first-in first-served.
To avoid missing out we recommend signing up as soon as possible by sending an e-mail to the Matiu/Somes DOC Rangers on Matiu/Somes to let them know when you will arrive, which day or days you wish to volunteer for, and if you wish to stay.
